Need: Help refugees being located to the greater Houston area. 


Join Houston Welcomes Refugees (HWR) at their volunteer orientation, informational meeting. Houston Welcomes Refugees mission is to help ease the resettlement process for refugees coming to Houston by mobilizing invested, caring volunteers and fostering hope amidst crisis. This orientation is a prerequisite to volunteering but does not obligate you to volunteer.

The orientation covers basic information about the refugee resettlement process, why HWR exist as an organization, and how attendees can partner with us. This orientation is 50 minutes with time for questions at the end. After the orientation, attendees will have an opportunity to sign up for a Welcome Team, Welcome Kit Drive, or Move-In Team.

When: Tuesday, September 11th 7pm-8pm
