Our Principles

As Church Project continues our calling to plant House Churches all across our community, and to plant other Church Projects in other places who are doing the same, we continue to see people coming by the thousands to gather and worship together.

Church Project is a church of House Churches, deeply connected to one another with shared oversight and purpose and structure, while each House Church is semi-autonomous in it’s self-leadership as they live in community, disciple one another, and meet each other’s needs.

Church Project is a church of Ministries. We spend time and money doing the things Jesus has called us to do: feed the hungry, clothe the naked, give water to the thirsty, take care of the widow and the orphan, protect the vulnerable, and more. Our hope is that every person in our church is using their life to pursue these purposes.

But, we also follow the Biblical model of gathering together corporately, as one connected body, to collectively worship, give, pray, and study the Scriptures. We worship Jesus together.

Buildings are utilitarian for us, existing for function only. Like the early church gathered in lecture halls, collonades, amphitheaters and more, we gather in warehouses, grocery stores, theaters, and gyms. And, like the early church used space that was often shared in the community for other non-church events, we choose use spaces that have shared purpose in our community.

The Opportunity

As we follow the model of gathering together corporately, and as we continue to outgrow our space, we looked for another space that fit our principles: PROXIMITY, PRICE, SIMPLICITY.

We want to stay in this PROXIMITY, accessible to the four corners of The Woodlands to the west, Spring the south, Imperial Oaks/Benders Landing/Harmony/others to the east, and Conroe to the north.

We want to stay in our PRICE range, continuing to facilitate our radical generosity, and never placing a bind on our calling due to inflated building expenses.

We want to stay in our principle of SIMPLICITY. The space is not sacred, but sacred things happen in a space. We want to reinforce the theology that the church is people, not place. We are not attractive or attractional with space, we are functional. We first gathered on Sundays in a warehouse, then a grocery store, next a gym.

As Church Project moves ahead pursuing these principles, we want to invite you to join with our body to accomplish these goals. The video above will tell the story, clarify our need, and invite you to join in. Thank you for taking the time to watch, then pray, then give together with us. We look forward to growing opportunities to do more good for the Kingdom of God in our city, and beyond.

Thank you for taking the time to watch, pray, then give together, collectively toward this exciting opportunity.
We look forward to joining together to do MORE GOOD for the Kingdom of God in our city, and beyond.
