ENCOUNTER is a discipleship weekend for students at Church Project, 7th-12th, happening Jan. 19-21. Students stay in host homes during the weekend in order to study the scriptures together in addition to gathering for worship, teaching, and serving various local ministries. This is a fun and meaningful weekend for students that they don't want to miss.
This weekend is an opportunity for many people at Church Project, not only students. People with the gift of hospitality graciously open up their homes to students, young adults joyfully lead students through the study of scripture, people in the Body of Christ serve those around them, and students are called to love and follow Jesus.
What is the focus of the weekend?
There is a craving in our world for realness. The buzzword “authentic” is a buzzword for a reason. We want the people we do life with to be authentic. We want the brands and movements we support to be authentic. We want the experiences and encounters we have to be what they are supposed to be. But what about our faith? Living out a faith that is true and real in today’s world? It’s about being a follower. A Christ-follower. This is what our weekend will focus on.
COST: $69 (includes meals, transportation throughout the weekend, student discipleship booklet, and long sleeve t-shirt).
Students will meet at their respective host homes on Friday, Jan. 18 at 6:30pm and rejoin their parents after the 11am gathering on Sunday.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS MONDAY, JAN. 14 AT MIDNIGHT!
