What You Need You Already Have

Read:

“. . . giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us;” Acts 15:8

Reflect:

Bitter defeat in battle, we’ve all tasted it at one time or another. We know what it’s like to fall into absolute dismay. There’s no sensation quite like the sour after effect of defeat caused by carnal choices. In times like these, all is not lost. There is a diamond in the rough. It’s in dismal times we finally come to the end of ourselves. Where we end, God begins.

The one who joins himself to the Lord is one with Him in Spirit. You are in Christ and He is in you. Everything gets expressed in Him so you can see and hear Him clearly. You don’t need a telescope, microscope, or horoscope to realize the fullness of Christ. When you come to Him, the fullness comes together for you. You already have what you need.

YOU ALREADY HAVE HOLINESS

When an individual receives salvation, they are instantly made holy. As we grow spiritually, holiness becomes increasingly more evident. You are righteous because He is in righteousness.

YOU ALREADY HAVE VICTORY

The empty tomb is the constant proof that the victory belongs to those who are in Christ. Therefore, we are no longer fighting for victory but from victory.

YOU ALREADY HAVE POWER

The power is Jesus, with all His fullness. It’s in giving us His life that we gain His power. Many live in spiritual bankruptcy. Unwittingly, they have lived beneath their spiritual means.

What we need, we already have. To realize the impact of being in Christ becomes a catalyst that causes us to live in abandonment to Him.

Respond:

How does a person become holy? What would you say to someone who told you they were trying to become more holy?

Why don’t we experience more of Jesus in every situation?

Identify one area where you’re struggling. What are the reasons for the ongoing battle?

What is necessary for you to win in that area?
