An In-Between Time Will Be Friendless
“And He came and found them sleeping, . . .” Mark 14:37
Jesus brought His closest friends to the garden at the most critical time of His life. Three times Jesus asked them to watch and pray with Him, only to come back and find them sleeping. At the moment He needed them the most, they were not there for Him. In the “in-between-moments,” you, and only you, can tell God you are committed. You can’t expect anyone else to stand with you or make the decision for you. It’s the “Gethsemanes” that shape true faith. A person who gives their “yes” to God, will have to do it alone. That moment will feel friendless.
When was a time that you had to make a decision without the support of others?
