When: Sunday October 15th 2017

“CHARM Prison Ministry is seeking volunteers who simply have a heart and a willingness to share the love of Christ with those who are lost and hurting.

At CHARM we look beyond the criminal and see a real person, made in God’s image and worth getting to know. With the help of hundreds of volunteers who go into the prisons with us each year, we engage inmates in fun activities, recreational sports and other outreach events. But, along with the games, we give them the gospel. We evangelize and disciple them, listen to them, and pray with them. Returning to the same prisons time after time, we build one-on-one relationships with men and women who often have no family or friends still present in their lives.

We continue our family-style ministry as we bring recently released offenders into our transitional homes. There they learn how to “do life” as they continue to learn and grow in the Lord. We offer very practical help and give them a stable place from which to launch back into society, now free to be the people God created them to be.

This is a relationship based ministry, so volunteers in this role are asked to serve for 5-10 hours a week and make a two year commitment to the program. This allows leaders to establish a relationship with the youth and teen moms, impact their lives in a positive way, and gain the opportunity to share Christ.
